Bahram Mansurov (1911-1985) is considered an important and reliable transmitter of the classical repertoire (Mugam and ancient melodies) inherited from a family tradition. The Mansurov family was of public figures from Baku; they themselves were practicing music and were opening their salon to the amateurs and professionals whom they sponsored.
Bahram was the son of Mirza Mansur who was a renowned tar player (1887-1967).
